SI-PASS has spread widely and is currently used at 1 500 higher education institutions in over 30 countries.
SI-PASS was launched in the 1970s at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in order to increase student throughput in “difficult” courses. The International Centre for SI is based at UMKC. Over the years, SI has spread to over 30 countries. Lund University is one of five centres around the world along with the University of Missouri-Kansas City (USA), the University of Guelph (Canada), Griffith University (Australia) and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa). As a concept, SI-PASS has had a considerable impact and is established at more than 1 500 higher education institutions in over 30 countries.
