SI-PASS Leader Resources
A common objective with the introduction in an SI-PASS session is to set the tone of the meeting – to get participants involved. In the menu you will find a variety of ways to do this under the heading Ice-breaker. Another important part of the introduction is to set the agenda for the meeting based on what the students find challenging and relevant. Strategies to do this are given under the heading Agenda Setting Techniques in the menu.
Access to a variety of session strategies is a good help for an SI-PASS Leader when planning activities to process course content. In the menu you will find a multitude of Learning Strategies under the subheadings Big Picture; Collaborative Learning Techniques; Organisational; Problem Solving; and Recall & Review. Many of these strategies were first published as a deck of strategy cards developed by Texas AM University and later revised by University of Missouri Kansas City and University of Manchester.
Under Study Techniques and SI-PASS Leader Tools&Tips in the menu you will find various suggestions on topics like
