Agenda Setting Techniques

In order for the SI-PASS session to be fruitful from a learning stand-point, the participants needs to be in charge of what content that should be processed. Thus the SI-leader need to obtain the areas which the participants wants to focus on, either in advance or at the start of the meeting and make a priority between the selected areas. Here, a number of agenda setting techniques are covered:

  • Agenda for the next Meeting
  • Agenda via FB Group
  • Group Survey I
  • Group Survey II
  • Group Survey III
  • KWL
  • Priority of Agenda Topics
  • Review Lecture Notes

Hint: Always identify beforehand what you believe will be the difficult topics in the covered material that the participants wants to focus on. Try to get input from the lecturer. If you know the likely topics of the SI-PASS session it is much more easy to identify appropriate learning strategies to work with during the session.
